Just thinking about designing this Olive Tree Stencil got me wildly excited! I pictured it exactly how it came out and had a blast stenciling it!
The fun thing about tree stencils is that you can create an entire mural with just this one stencil design and a bit of paint. This stencil is so easy it’s disgusting. Repeat the trunk stencil, add the tree top stencil, side branches and then leafy olive branches.
I started mine by painting the wall blue first and then sponge painted a little lavender paint over the top of it to create a soft, pretty background.
I then stenciled my tree and added flowers at the floor level with craft paints and an artists brush (super easy!).
Each stencil is a single stencil (no overlays) so it goes quick! I did this entire tree wall mural in just 6 hours with an intense result. I just love it!
This stencil set comes with easy to follow instructions and color picture of the finished design above.
Most people think murals are really hard. But they are not. See all the tiny upright flowers and grasses in the main photo of the Olive Tree Stencil? They’re simply done by painting a skinny line with an artists brush and then adding “blobs” of paint to mimic leaves and more blobs of lavender paint to create the flowers. It’s easy and you can go nuts if you want!
Creating this type of mural around and behind your tree is not only easy, it’s so beautiful, you’ll be doing the whole house!
