Black Antique Iron with Wooden Handle

Black antique iron in a very rustic condition. I think this was a gas-powered iron from the 1920s. There's a metal plate within that's loose on one end - it was probably attached to some gas part through the hole at the rear. The gas part has been removed and if you peep through the hole that remains, there is quite a bit of dust and dirt within. Also, I think there used to be a pump attached to the front of the iron which is no longer there. Nevertheless, it's swell as part of vintage decor!
 
Trendy ideas for antique irons include using them as paperweights or doorstoppers!
 
This has not been cleaned, so comes with rust and crusts, as photos show!
